What is Sheng Jiang?:
The Chinese Herb Sheng Jiang is fresh ginger root (or its juice).
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Therapeutic Actions of Sheng Jiang:
Sheng Jiang releases the exterior muscle layer and induces perspiration. It also warms the middle and helps to descend rebellious stomach qi to treat nausea and vomiting.
Sheng Jiang also helps to warm the lungs and stop cough in cases where wind-cold has constricted the channels and collaterals in the lungs.
Sheng Jiang alone (or together with Zi Su Ye) treats seafood poisoning.
