What is Sang Zhi?:

The Chinese Herb Sang Zhi is the dried twigs from the branches of the mulberry tree (Morus alba L.).

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Therapeutic Actions of Sang Zhi:

Sang Zhi dispels wind-damp and opens the channels and collaterals to treat bi zheng (painful obstruction syndrome) that presents with joint tightness/stiffness and muscle spasms and cramping in the limbs.  It is most effective for bi zheng w/heat in the upper extremities.

Sang Zhi promotes diuresis and is used to address dysuria associated with edema in the limbs.
