What is Hai Long?:
The Chinese Herb Hai Long is the dried body of three different species of pipefish, which are long, slender fish that live amongst the seaweed in the shallows of various coastal waters (Syngnathus acus L.; S. biaculeatus (Bloch); Solenognathus hardwickii (Gray)).
