The Chinese Herb Bai Hua She is the entire dried body (minus the head and viscera) of the many-branded krait (Bungarus multicinctus Blyth), a kind of venomous snake living across China and Southeast Asia.

Bai Hua She dispel wind and opens channels and collaterals. It travels along the skin, enters the internal organs and penetrates down into the bones and is used to treat forms of bi zheng (painful obstruction syndrome) that manifest in numbness and paralysis (e.g. post-stroke complications).
