Geng Mi tonifies the Lung, Spleen, and Intestines. Clinically speaking, Geng Mi treats thirst, diarrhea, fatigue, and irritability. It is also sometime taken with/added to formulas to protect the middle from damage by cold or harsh herbs (e.g. in the formula Bai Hu Tang because Shi Gao (gypsum) is quite cold in temperature).
